FAQ
RTK stands for Recalibration of Foreign Workers (Rekalibrasi Tenaga Kerja). It is a legalisation program that allows employers to hire undocumented foreign workers (with a guarantee) and regularize their employment status in Malaysia.
First, the worker must register to obtain the RTK slip, which allows them to make a police report. The embassy will require this report to understand how the passport was lost. Only after this can the worker apply for a new passport at their country’s embassy.
Yes, they can. However, they must first renounce their UNHCR status and obtain a valid passport from their country’s embassy before applying for the RTK program.
Yes, you may. Please contact us directly for further information and guidance on reapplying.
Under the RTK 2.0 guidelines, workers aged 45 and above are still eligible to apply.
